Is your cat’s bed worth $200,000?

Posted August 1st, 2012 by Patrick van der Vorst

ValueMyStuff.com founder Patrick van der Vorst shares some of his most memorable valuation stories – the customer who sent in pictures of the chinese bowl that her cat liked to sleep in, which turned out to be worth $200,000, the “horse implement” that turned out to be a medieval chastity belt, the Van Gogh “imitation” that ValueMyStuff proved was genuine… What have you got in your closet, garage or attic that might turn out to be a valuable antique?

Robert T. Robinson says:

At the top of Patrick’s message, the value of the bowl in which the cat slept is described in dollars while in the first paragraph it is described in pounds. In the video, Patrick gives the value as $200,000.00 which is likely correct. Whatever the case, there is a discrepancy here which needs clarification.

Yes you are right, it is $200.000 dollars indeed…. Apologies….

That has now been corrected in the post
